Charcoal filters
  • Can be installed either under pressure or in expanded form
  • Sized according to the water characteristics and treatment objectives
  • Effective at removing hard-to-treat contaminants, such as PFAS
  • They are also used for the treatment of groundwater or contaminated industrial water

Activated carbon filters are essential for advanced water treatment, thanks to their high adsorption capacity, which enables the removal of organic compounds, free chlorine, pesticides, volatile compounds, and unpleasant odours and tastes. Thanks to its porosity and very high surface area, activated carbon is able to trap pollutants even at very low concentrations. The systems manufactured by Uberplants Italia can be installed as either pressure-fed or trickle-bed systems, and are sized according to the water characteristics and treatment objectives.

In addition to their traditional applications in drinking water treatment and the post-treatment of osmosis water, these systems are extremely effective at removing hard-to-treat contaminants, such as PFAS (in pre-treatment prior to selective resins), chlorinated solvents, benzene, toluene, MTBE, microplastics and pharmaceutical residues. They can also be used for the treatment of groundwater or industrial water contaminated by chemical processes. Their long service life, high efficiency and the option of regeneration or modular replacement make carbon filters a flexible and sustainable solution. All plants can be fitted with automatic control and monitoring systems to ensure maximum safety and treatment quality.
